Whether exploring strategy for a new service or reshaping
existing technology, creating narratives is fundamental to
describe the experience of interacting with multiple touch
points, in many places, over time.
Narrative can be used to explore user categorisation and needs,
focus client intentions, communicate and evaluate ideas,
capture opportunities, inform business decisions,
inspire design solutions and expose new user behaviour.
I use observations of real people to understand their needs,
motivations and concerns in context to build character profiles.
I choreograph scenarios from character profiles, build props
and prototypes in order to shape the experience and explore
interaction.
Narratives can be used to gain user insight to feedback
into the design concept, as well as highlight organisational
implications for the client’s business.
